Released in 2012 by the Hüll Hop Research Center, Hallertau Blanc is a German variety that features a bouquet of citrus and sweet fruits and a distinctive white wine character. As a daughter of Cascade, Hallertau Blanc represents a departure from its noble heritage — bred for a moment where brewers were seeking bold, differentiating flavors. With dual-purpose utility and relatively high alpha (9-11%), it delivers a sophisticated layer of flavor that complements old-world and new-world styles alike.
