Brewers Gold Hops
German Brewers Gold Hops
Brewers Gold was developed in 1919 by Prof. Ernest Salmon at Wye College’s hop breeding program in Kent, England, designed to blend the high alpha qualities of American hops with European-style aroma. Brewers Gold is a world-renowned pioneer in hop breeding and the ancestor of many celebrated varieties including Centennial, Galena, Sterling and Nugget.
With high yields, vigorous growth and moderate alpha, Brewers Gold has grown successfully across the globe. Its aromas of black currant, tea and lemon make it a natural fit for traditional beers like English-style ales, porters and pilsners. A legacy hop with global impact and the root of countless classic varieties.
Tariffs are now applied to all European hops imported into the U.S. for 2025 crop only. You will see a separate line item in your cart and at checkout reflecting the 12.5% tariff. If you have any questions, please reach out.
